How do I calculate a developer (oxidant) or additive ratio?
During weighing, choose the developer (oxidant) or additive, open ratio calculation and select a preset. The app calculates the new amount from the mix’s current base.
For owner, manager, stylist, assistant, salon team · Updated
Step by step
- 1
Choose the ingredient
On the weighing screen, choose the developer (oxidant) or additive ingredient whose amount you want to recalculate.
- 2
Open ratio calculation
For a developer (oxidant), choose Recalculate developer. For an additive, the Add Additive window shows the ratios available for that ingredient type.
- 3
Choose a ratio
For a developer (oxidant), choose 1:1, 1:1.5 or 1:2. For an additive, choose 1:10, 1:6 or 1:4 according to the product’s instructions.
- 4
Check the new amount
Check the calculated target and the remaining amount to weigh, then continue weighing and save the mix.
Good to know
- The app calculates the ratio from the current base: ingredients other than the developer (oxidant) and additive.
- The ratio changes the current formula target and summary; previously saved mixes stay unchanged.
- Presets support the work. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the specific product.
When something does not work
- Without a positive base amount, the app cannot calculate a useful target.
- The ratio list depends on whether you chose a developer (oxidant) or an additive; do not use a preset for another ingredient type.
- If the ingredient is not recognised as a developer or additive, the ratio option may not appear.
