A getting-started path
Your first week with DOSIQ
One simple path: prepare the salon, complete the first appointment and keep the guides your team can return to later.
How to use this page
Start with the preparation section. Then move to the guides for during and after onboarding. You do not need to do everything at once — open each guide when you need it.
Before the onboarding session
Prepare the basic details and devices so the onboarding session can move straight into a real appointment.
- 1
Register the salon and sign in for the first time
Why it matters: So the person managing the salon can open the panel and start preparing the salon.
A separate guide will be available after it is completed. For now, we will cover this point during onboarding. - 2
Add at least one team member and activate the account
Why it matters: So the first person performing a service has their own DOSIQ access.
- 3
Add services and prices to the price list
Why it matters: So the right service and price are available when you add an appointment.
- 4
Install the DOSIQ app on iOS or Android
Why it matters: So the mobile app is ready on the device used during onboarding and everyday work.
A separate guide will be available after it is completed. For now, we will cover this point during onboarding. - 5
Add the first client
Why it matters: So the first appointment is connected to the right client profile and history.
- 6
Add the first appointment and learn the browser-panel basics
Why it matters: So you can see where Schedule, Clients and appointment details are before onboarding.
During and after onboarding
Use these guides as you start doing real appointments and saving your first mixes.
- 1
Start the app on a shared device or kiosk
Why it matters: So everyone can quickly choose their account and start work on the shared tablet.
- 2
Pair the scale with the app
Why it matters: So product weights can be recorded directly while you mix.
- 3
Add the appointment you are working on
Why it matters: So the mix, notes and history are linked to the right client.
- 4
Scan products and update inventory
Why it matters: So the app recognises ingredients and inventory matches what is really in the salon.
- 5
Complete an appointment: scan products, weigh them and save the mix
Why it matters: So the first formula is saved with the appointment and the actual gram weights.
- 6
Calculate the oxidant ratio
Why it matters: So the mix follows the ratio used in the salon.
A separate guide will be available after it is completed. For now, we will cover this point during onboarding. - 7
Add a top-up to a mix
Why it matters: So an additional portion is recorded correctly in work already in progress.
A separate guide will be available after it is completed. For now, we will cover this point during onboarding. - 8
Add feedback after the colour service
Why it matters: So the next formula can use a better amount and reduce excess.
- 9
Repeat a previous appointment and its formulas
Why it matters: So you can return to a proven way of working instead of starting from scratch.
- 10
Edit a saved formula and change the colour
Why it matters: So you can correct ingredients or amounts when the result or service needs it.
- 11
Edit an appointment in the mobile app, including its service
Why it matters: So you can change the client, time, service or note without creating a duplicate appointment.
- 12
Add notes
Why it matters: So important details about the client and service stay with the appointment and history.
- 13
Start a quick mix without an appointment
Why it matters: So you can prepare a mix even when there is no appointment in the schedule yet.
