Where do I add a note and what is it for?

Use a client note for lasting information about a person, an appointment note for one visit and a mix note for context about a prepared formula.

For owner, manager, reception, stylist, assistant, salon team · Updated

Step by step

  1. 1

Before the appointment — client note

Open Clients → the client profile and check the existing notes. Use this place for information that will help on future visits, not details for one date only.

  2. 2

During the appointment — appointment Notes

In the appointment details, open Notes, choose edit, enter a short message and select Save. Use it for arrangements or observations about the current appointment.

  3. 3

    During mixing — mix Notes

Open the mix details, go to Notes, write an observation about the formula or the work and save it. This helps with the next mix.

  4. 4

    Choose the right place

If the information is about the person, use the client note. If it is about the date, use the appointment note. If it is about ingredients, ratios or preparation, use the mix note.

  5. 5

    Check the saved note

After saving, return to the relevant details and check that the note is shown there. Do not use a note to change a service, price, status or formula.

Good to know

  • A client note is about the person and can help on future visits; the client card shows it for reading.
  • An appointment note is about one date and does not change services, sales, mixes or the appointment status.
  • When you top up a mix, the app may add the [Top-up]: prefix to the mix note.
  • When the final service price differs from the service value, use the separate Price note instead of a regular appointment note.

When something does not work

  • When there is no edit button, you do not have permission to change that note and can only read the saved information.
  • Colour-service feedback and a formula are separate data; do not replace them with a note.
  • Client, appointment and mix notes are separate places. Saving one does not automatically copy it to the others.
